How to Measure Your Dog for Clothes
Measure chest first, then neck and back length. Japan and the United States share the same S, M and L standard. These ranges describe your pet’s body, not finished garment dimensions.
NEOI Pet Standard Body Sizes
| Size | Neck | Chest | Back Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | 22–24 cm / 8.7–9.4 in | 32–35 cm / 12.6–13.8 in | 23–26 cm / 9.1–10.2 in |
| M | 25–28 cm / 9.8–11.0 in | 36–40 cm / 14.2–15.7 in | 27–30 cm / 10.6–11.8 in |
| L | 29–32 cm / 11.4–12.6 in | 41–45 cm / 16.1–17.7 in | 31–34 cm / 12.2–13.4 in |
Measurements refer to your pet’s body size. Choose primarily by chest, then check neck and back length. Weight is only a general reference.
If S, M or L does not fit, selected designs are available in a custom size.

How do I measure my dog’s chest?
Measure around the widest portion of the rib cage. Check this measurement first.
How do I measure my dog’s neck?
Measure around the neck where the collar naturally sits.
How do I measure back length for clothes?
Measure from the base of the neck to the intended garment endpoint.
Can I choose a size by breed or weight?
Fit allowance is specific to the garment. Use actual measurements rather than breed or weight alone.
What if my pet falls between sizes?
Check chest first, then neck and back length. Selected designs support custom-size consultation.
